As a manager of the Industrial partner, we are interested on see how the scientists and the companies can work toghether. Our main interest is to find a new techology that can give us the possibility to open new applications and markets, as per reducing prices to end users, the products should be better field deployed.
Sensotran is a SME with more than 30 years expertise in gas detection. We develops and manufacture detectors and systems for toxic gases, flammable gases and oxygen. We have experience with metal oxide, electrochemical, IR, FID and PID detectors. We developed our equipment using of-the-shelf sensors, designing the electronics for sensor conditioning, sensor readout, data logging and communications, and we also have experience in portable multi-gas and single gas detectors, also for volatile organic compounds.
The company has a good knowledge about the market demands in low-cost, small (wearable) and reliable detectors for benzene, with some experience with nerve agent as Sarin and Yperite.
In the project Sensotran will identify user’s needs and set the sensor specifications. SENSOTRAN and URV group (partner 6) will test the nano2hybrids-based-gas sensor on the field, being also in charge of the final validation of the new developed device.
